Steve: Aren't you supposed to be basking in the warm glow of Emetrics Stockholm?

Regardless: My data set is not the best for highlighting the relationship between "engagement" and "book sales" since the book has been on the market for far longer than I have had Visual Site to make this calculation. Put another way, the fact that you and Clint send roughly the same percentage of moderately engaged visitors but you convert at a rate much higher doesn't mean that Clint's people are otherwise less good. More likely it means (as Clint pointed out) that you're helping me target a newer audience for my work.

I would be happy to use the Chronicles as an example for another "drilling-down" post if you're okay with that. Let me know, and enjoy the conference!

Hi Eric,

I see my site is sending you no highly engaged visitors but still selling your books at a rate just under Jim's emetrics.org. Could you conclude from those visitors that moderate engagement is all that is required to sell your books?

Or does the segment of traffic coming from the Chronicles site show you anything insightful? Are the visitors coming from the Chronicles somehow better qualified and therefore need to be less engaged? For instance do they come from a recommendation I made about your book or are they coming from the blog posts?

Just curious ;o)
